Life

personality changes

now I am supposedly an INTP instead of an INTJ. The shift is small, but I wonder where it is the test scoring slightly different, or life that has happened since I last took the test.

"An INTP arguing a point may very well be trying to convince himself as much as his opposition. "

dementia and long hours

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1154409/Working-long-hours-puts-millions-risk-dementia.html

I think I know something more about myself ......

" ...put in more than 55 hours a week have poorer mental skills than those clocking up fewer than 41 hour ..." "Not only do people working long hours have worse scores on tests measuring intelligence, their short-term memory and ability to recall words is also weaker." ""

song of the week Jan 13 2009
  1/13/2009 07:06:00 PM
Meu Berimbau está tocando
Mas era de manhã
Lá no mercado
E o tempo nublado
O dia clarear
Vai Berimbau tocar
Vai na roda de lá
Oh lá vai capoeira
No pé da ladeira
E na beira do mar

Coro:
Meu Berimbau está tocando
Até o dia clarear
Se não clareou, seu moço,
Vai clarear

spelling
  6/12/2007 09:24:00 PM
OK, this blog has horrible spelling, especially in Portuguese. I would point out that for the most part I post from my phone from a bar or sushi or something. And that I don't speak understand or read or write Portuguese.
That being said:
Jinga isn't a word, it's ginga. I know this. My word is a hybrid of Jenga and ginga. I knew this for a while.
It's meia, not mei. I have a friend who's name is Mei, but she is not a half of a person. that doesn't stop me from shortening it a letter.
Queda de rins == fall to kidneys. If you didn't elbow yourself painfully while learning it you cheated somehow.
hahaha try this
  5/21/2007 06:40:00 PM
1) from ginga position: queixada (no step), armada (no step), queixada (no step), armada (no step). watch your positions to make sure you load well for the kick and are landing in ginga.
2) queixada, meia lua de compasso, armada martelo again all with no steps between
3) queixada, armada, esquiva2, piao de mao
5) queixada, esquiva2, au batido, bananeira
5) bananeira (cabeca), queda de rins, negativa, role
can't train, can't post

Basic Movement
1: meia lua de compasso. 2: rasteira 1:switch your legs on landing to avoid the sweep. 2: turn with the rastiera through cochorinha into negativa 2:step around backward and block the negativa
Additions
A) 2: meia lua de compasso 1:step backward and around toward the partner's back and away from the negativa. Control your partner with a hand each to their neck and kicking knee.
B) 2: fake a meia lua de compasso and go back to negativa. 1:step backward and around 2: vingativa
quick and easy
  5/10/2006 01:52:00 PM
Meia lua de frente but land the kicking leg in front while going into negativa ( to avoid that nasty meia lua de compasso coming at your head). After you have that down, practice swinging the negativa forward leg around behind you (and into the other persons leg) and coming up into a banda de costa (payback for them trying to take your head off).
raiz (or something)
  5/09/2006 02:40:00 PM
Here goes:
Start off with a step in meia lua de compasso to help with momentum and body position.
the next step is to start off like a meia lua de compasso or rabo de arria but let your body open up with the kick so that you end up laying out with your chest upward and your hips open. The second leg follows over in a martelo/meia lua de frente position. It almost feels like you are rollong over something with your back. If that description doesn't help, sorry.
